A Quantitative Linguistics Perspective
The next international quantitative linguistics conference (QUALICO 2012) will be held in Belgrade (Serbia), April 26-29, 2012. Call for Papers and Pre-Registration are over.
The Call for Papers is over. The Review Process of submitted abstracts has started (see below).
Participation Fees
The participation fee charged per attending person equals the sum of one annual fee for IQLA, differing according to participant's status: academic professionals € 100, post-docs € 50, pre-docs € 40 (to be paid in advance). Participation fees cover the abstract booklet and other conference materials, as well as refreshments and snacks during pauses throughout the whole conference, but they do not include meals, sightseeing tours or other social events.
IQLA offers reduction of participation fees:
- Participation fees are 30% reduced for IQLA members.
- Early abstract submissions (until October 31, 2011) are 20% reduced (early IQLA members' registration fees are 50% reduced).

Notifications of the Program Committee’s decisions will be sent out by January 2012.
Registration goes automatically along with the early or standard abstract submissions. Registrations may eventually be cancelled until February 15, 2012, at the latest. Part of the conference fees will have to be paid soon after receipt of the notification. All other registrations (e.g., participation without presentation, etc.) and pre-registration is possible via IQLA Office. Pre-registration until October 31, 2011, includes 20% reduction of conference fees.
Qualico 2012 will take place at the University of Belgrade, in the city of Belgrade, Serbia.

The Registration, the Opening Session, and the Morning Session of the conference on April 26 will all take place in the Great Hall of the University of Belgrade Rectorate, Studentski trg 1.
The Afternoon Session on April 26, as well as all the remaining sessions, will take place in the Belgrade City Library, Knez Mihailova 56.
Coming to Belgrade:
Arriving at Belgrade Airport, there is a Shuttle Bus to Belgrade City every 30 minutes (Mini Bus Line A1), heading for Slavija Square. Tickets can be bought on the bus, a ticket costs ca. 250 Serbian Dinars (ca. € 2.50, one way).
A modest *** hotel near the conference site should cost ca. € 40 euros (B & B) for a single room, e.g. Hotel Royal.
A **** star hotel will cost ca. € 60, e.g. the near-by Palace Hotel.
You can also find cheaper places, mostly hostels. If you opt for this type of accommodation, the organizers will be glad to help you in selecting a hostel location close to the conference site. The organizing committee will try to make some arrangements with some of hotels to get a discount; as soon as such arrangements will be made, details will be made available here.
